The University of Ghana has held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Ghana-Korea Centre of Excellence for ICT-Based Startups and Asian Research (GK-IMPACT), marking a major milestone in international academic and technological collaboration. The sod-cutting and tree planting were led by Prof. Gordon Awandare, representing the Vice-Chancellor, and Korean Ambassador H.E. Park Kyongsig. Located on the Legon campus, the Centre will support ICT-based entrepreneurship, house the Centre for Asian Studies, and promote research, innovation, and cross-cultural exchange. GK-IMPACT aims to foster Ghana-Korea cooperation in higher education, digital innovation, and sustainable development, aligning with the University’s goals of global impact, student engagement, and national progress.
