KNUST Launches E-Counselling App To Expand Mental Health Services
KNUST has launched a mobile app offering digital counselling services for students and staff. Developed by the KNUST Counselling Centre (KCC) and the University Information Technology Services (UITS), the app allows users to book virtual or in-person sessions with professional and peer counsellors. It also features a secure chat, mental health resources, and a news blog.

Unveiled during a live demonstration attended by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mrs. Rita Akosua Dickson, the app is now available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Prof. Dickson praised the initiative as a vital step toward holistic student support, calling it “mental health at your doorstep.”

Mrs. Victoria De-Graft Adjei, Head of KCC, noted the app’s student-friendly design, while Prof. Marian Asantewah Nkansah, Director of Student Affairs, applauded the collaboration and urged students to take full advantage of the resource.
