KEEA farmers exposed to sustainable farming practices

KEEA farmers exposed to sustainable farming practices
Farmers in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) Municipality received training on sustainable, technology-driven farming practices to combat shrinking arable land. The training, part of the EU-funded DIVAGRI project (2021–2025), focused on improving livelihoods through record-keeping, sustainable irrigation, and intercropping.

Experts from the University of Cape Coast emphasized the importance of accurate farm records, year-round irrigation, and intercropping to boost productivity and profits. Farmers visited a demonstration site and received certificates. One participant, Mr. Jacob Asamah, noted the new methods made farming easier and more effective.
