KNUST Business School Celebrates 20 Years, Sets Bold Vision For Future
The KNUST School of Business (KSB) has launched its 20th-anniversary celebration themed “20 Years of Excellence in Business Education: Building Capability and Resilience for Sustainable Development.” The event highlighted KSB’s growth since 2005, from 8 lecturers to over 50 academic staff, and over 8,000 students.

The Dean outlined a future strategy focusing on entrepreneurship, digital transformation, sustainability, and student empowerment. He acknowledged support from partners like OmniBSIC Bank and ACCA but appealed for more investment in IT infrastructure.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rita Akosua Dickson encouraged KSB to lead in entrepreneurship and innovation, training “employers, not just employees.”

Ga Mantse and KSB alumnus, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, emphasized the need for bold, socially conscious leaders and urged deeper partnerships with traditional, public, and private sectors.

Dr. Daniel McKorley, CEO of McDan Group, called for stronger ecosystems to support entrepreneurship, advocating for innovation labs and policies that empower youth to create jobs.

Mrs. Hilda Nimo-Tieku of Jobberman Ghana stressed that modern employers value mindset, agility, and real-world skills over academic qualifications. She challenged KSB to focus on building resilience and practical capacity in students.
